Runaway spend
An unexpectedly large AI bill caused by a bug, a retry loop, a leaked key or sudden traffic.
Typical causes are a retry loop that never stops, a feature that sends far more text than intended, or an API key used by someone else. The sooner it is spotted, the smaller the bill.
Why it matters. Provider invoices arrive after the month ends. A daily check against a normal baseline catches it while it is cheap.
