Terms of service
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms apply when you use lowtidehq.com and the Lowtide tools (Mentioned, Burnguard and Opentide). The service is provided by Lowtide, a trading name of Cloudly Move Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15646622), with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF (“Lowtide”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the tools, you agree to these terms. If you're using Lowtide for a business, you confirm you're authorised to accept them on its behalf.
1. Early access
Lowtide is currently in early access and free to use. Features, limits and availability may change as we develop the product. We'll give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email before introducing charges, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give us an email address you control.
- Keep access to your email account secure, as sign-in links are sent there.
- You're responsible for activity on your account and for the information you add to it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the tools to scan or monitor websites in a way that disrupts them, or to test security without permission;
- add API keys you're not authorised to use, or personal or sensitive information to Mentioned prompts;
- try to access other users' data, overload our systems, or get around usage limits;
- use Lowtide for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
4. Your data and content
You own the information you add and the reports the tools produce for you. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you, as described in our privacy notice.
5. About the results
- Mentioned reports what AI assistants answered at the time of the check. AI answers vary between runs and change over time, and they come from third parties we don't control.
- Burnguard relies on the cost reports your providers publish, which can be delayed or revised. It's an early-warning tool, not a billing system or a spending cap.
- Opentide uses automated checks, which find many but not all accessibility issues. Using it doesn't on its own make a website compliant with accessibility law.
Results are provided to help you make decisions. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on them.
6. Availability
We work to keep Lowtide running reliably, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, particularly during early access. Scheduled checks may occasionally be delayed or missed.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or data. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in that period.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Lowtide at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@lowtidehq.com. We may close the service or an account with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and email account holders about significant changes before they take effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
